Hitting

There is no one certain way to teach hitting.  Too often coaches try to teach kids to hit their way.  Coach Strong gets hitters to swing the correct way given his or her style.  The emphases is focused on improvement and making the correct adjustments.  The majority of Coach Strong's time is spent helping kids unlearn the things they have learned for the past 10 or 12 years.  Hitters that are not taught the correct mechanics will hit "the wall" at some point in their career: be it high school, college, minor leagues or the major leagues.

Success stories are great.  They inspire us and give young hitters something to work toward.  Hitters such as Alex Rodriquez, Ken Griffey Jr., Mark McGwire, Chipper Jones, Tony Gwynn, and the list goes on.  These are a list of players that have worked very hard to become the top hitters in the game today.  With all of these Major League success stories, we have three times the amount of real life failures.  Year after years there are hitters that fail because they are not taught the correct fundamentals.  At a young age they are praised for their success and in most cases their success is due to the kid being physically stronger than kids that they are playing with.  Once that hitter starts to reach to level of competition that matches their athletic ability the hitter hits "the wall"/  Now he or she is told that they need to make some adjustments in order to become more consistent and hit the ball with more authority.  The answer that is most common is " Why didn't someone tell me this before?  I've been learning the wrong things for the past few years.

5Tools exposes the incorrect hitting mechanics of hitters today as well as gives you a strong foundation which will allow hitters to make the correct adjustments in order to succeed.  We give the mechanics as well as the confidence that is needed for hitters to succeed.  We don't tell you how to hit,  we teach you how to hit and how to make your own adjustments.  Don't wait until it's too late!

Going to the Sandlot will be the best career decision you will ever make!
